Sara Amanda is a writer, dramaturg, director, and theatre maker from South London. She’s collaborated with the BBC, Wild Kate Pictures, Belgrade Theatre, Birmingham Hippodrome, Sudden Productions, Gorilla Circus, Daniel Alexander Films, and Tower Theatre. As a mentored writer with Paines Plough and former Artistic Director of Rush Theatre Company, she has developed a strong passion for discovering and nurturing new writing. Now the Creative Director of Lewisham Youth Theatre, Sara focuses on making theatre accessible to young people, especially those who face barriers in the arts. Her work is driven by the belief that storytelling can inspire social change, and she’s committed to creating spaces where underrepresented voices are heard. With her South London roots and a sharp eye for new writing, Sara’s approach combines a keen sense of narrative with a collaborative spirit, challenging conventional theatre and championing fresh perspectives.
